Vescinda

Veterinary Assistant

I am a Veterinary Assistant who graduated alongside Brittany. Both of us were taught by the magnificent, Jules Fletcher. Eager to start practicing my skills, I was hired before I was finished my college program. Working at Basinview Animal Hospital for a year and a half, with many dogs, clients, and staff, I am looking forward to meeting all your fur babies and utilizing my passion & skills. When not at work I spend all of my free time with Cora, my recue dog from Texas. She loves coming to work with mommy too.

Alexis

Canine Behaviour Coach

Growing up in Nova Scotia, my love for dogs began early on. I recently graduated at Animal Behaviour College and earned my ABCDT certification in dog training in February 2024. I have almost two years experience working at dod daycares. When I'm not busy with our furry friends, I'm hitting the ice or the diamond, playing hockey and softball. I also have certifications in pet first aid and extensive knowledge in dog behavior, I approach every interaction with our canine companions with expertise and compassion. Whether it's leading pack walks, hosting dogs for boarding, or simply enjoying the outdoors, I find joy in every tail wag and playful bark.

Hayley

Canine Retreat Coach

Hayley loves all things DOGS! She has worked at two other well known dog daycares in Nova Scotia. After a short break in the dog world, she knew she had to put her best paw forward and apply to work with us. When she is not busy playing and loving on your pups in our Retreat areas, you can find her busting it at her waitressing job or kicking back to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. She looks forward to meeting all The Paw Pad pups & their families.

Lexie

University Student

Raised in the Timberlea community itself, I grew up with a passion for animal care and interacting with nature. I am currently in my first year of Dalhousie's Medical Sciences Program. Over the past year, I have been dog-walking and pet-sitting in the community to balance my studies with doing something I love. You can often find me walking the trails with a dog or two, or playing fetch at one of the local dog parks in HRM. I am excited to share the same love and care to all the dogs who join the Paw Pad Pack.

Lauren

Veterinary Assistant

Hi there! My name is Lauren and I reached out to The Paw Pad in the summer of 2024. I was looking for an on-the-job placement for my Veterinary Assistant program.

I was accepted and spent 8 weeks learning and expanding my knowledge in the Retreat, Itty Bitty, and the Spa.

After my placement ended, I was offered a position to stay, which I gladly accepted. I am so excited to continue my Paw Pad journey with all of your pups.
